Sophearath Uoy

Mr. Uoy brings to BiG a diverse background and skill set from industries ranging from Govcon, Information Technology and other professional service industries. Known and well respected in the metropolitan area, he has been in the financial field for over 15 years. Mr. Uoy is an expert in financial analysis, financial reporting, accounting policy, internal controls and auditing. He brings specialized experience with drafting financial statements, budget reconciliation, revenue recognition, project costing and billing, along with managing and overseeing all aspects of the accounting cycle.

His understanding of IRS, GAAP, DCAA and FAR regulations makes him an important piece to BiG. His growth mindset has a modern flare that embraces technology and isn’t afraid to use cutting edge ideas to gain a competitive financial advantage. To that testament, he has seen the success and growth of numerous companies through various stages of the business life cycle.

Mr. Uoy holds a BS in Business Administration, with a double major in Finance and Accounting, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Additionally, he is an active CPA and a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA).

He enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and their dog “Razor”. He is also a die-hard Washington Football Team fan and an avid boater, cruising the Chesapeake Bay during his down time.
